Bay area artist, Katherine Du Tiel received her MFA from San Francisco Art Institute. Her work probes the relationship between life and death and art and science. She has exhibited her work both nationally and internationally, including Musée De La Civilisation, Québec City, Canada, Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition National Tour, National Academy of Sciences, Washington, DC, Museum of Contemporary Photography, Chicago, Illinois. Her work is represented in collections, including the National Library of Medicine, Buhl Collection, Richard Harris Collection and in publications, including the New York Times, Washington Post, and SFGATE.
